One of North Hertfordshire’s local landmarks, Hitchin Town Hall is a historic facility that offers first-rate services to the district’s community
The diverse spaces that are available to hire within our venue continue to be the perfect backdrop for a variety of events, including parties, weddings, conferences, and performances.
Our building’s café also serves hot drinks and quality food to the public, six days a week.
The Grade II listed building is situated in Hitchin’s town centre, on Brand Street. With its distinctive Neo-Georgian style, was designed by Edward Mountford and Thomas Lucas in 1901, after Hitchin’s first town hall was deemed too small for the growing community.
Over the years our hall has housed many different functions, and notable figures that have performed and spoken here include Emmeline Pankhurst and Bob Marley.
Hitchin Town Hall is much more than just a venue for hire and also hosts a diverse programme of free and ticketed events for the public. Keep up to date with our upcoming events below, where you will find all the details and ticketing information you require. If you have an event you wish to host at Hitchin Town Hall which will have tickets sold to the public, we would be happy to add this to our programme as well and work with you to help ensure your event is a success.
Hitchin Town Hall offers 4 versatile, multi-use spaces with the ability to cater for small intimate events right through to large-scale weddings and birthday parties. To ensure your event runs smoothly, a dedicated Events Duty Manager will be on hand for the entirety of your event.
