The below FAQ page lists some common queries we receive about the venue. We always do our best to keep this page updated but for anything you cant find below, please get in touch.
Can we add a dance floor?
No, the town hall flooring already has its own built-in sprung dance floor.
What time does the bar close?
Last orders will be taken 30 minutes before the event finishes.
Can we have a bouncy castle in the main hall?
Yes, the size of the bouncy castle will need to be confirmed with one of our team and we will need a copy of the company’s public liability insurance.
Can our band/DJ do a sound check?
Yes, this can be scheduled with a member of our team.
Can we hang decorations on the walls or ceilings?
This will be dependent on the type of decoration and will need to be confirmed with the admin officer upon booking.
Can we deliver flowers the day before?
No, flowers are to be delivered on the day of the event. All arrangements must be within your hire period, we cannot store anything before or after the booking time.
Is there a sound limit?
In Mountford Hall, the sound limiter will kick in over 96 decibels.
Can we hire on bank holidays?
Yes, subject to availability and our ability to staff excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Can we bring in animals?
This is subject to the type of animal and will need to be further discussed with a member of our team.

Do you have lift access?
Yes, all rooms are fully accessible through lifts.
What’s the size of Mountford Hall?
Mountford Hall approx size: 12x19m balcony to the stage – 4x19m under the balcony (please note that permanent bars are situated under the balcony).
What’s the latest I can hire until?
1.00 am lights up and hall emptied, with last orders at 12.30 am.
Can we get chairs and tables delivered to the hall?
Any furniture and equipment can be delivered to the town hall on the day of the event provided a member of staff is available to receive the delivery. Any furniture being delivered prior to the event date will be subject to storage availability and will need to be confirmed with a member of our team.
