One of North Hertfordshire’s local landmarks, Hitchin Town Hall is a historic facility that offers first-rate services to the district’s community
The diverse spaces that are available to hire within our venue continue to be the perfect backdrop for a variety of events, including parties, weddings, conferences, and performances.
Our building’s café also serves hot drinks and quality food to the public, six days a week.
The Grade II listed building is situated in Hitchin’s town centre, on Brand Street. With its distinctive Neo-Georgian style, was designed by Edward Mountford and Thomas Lucas in 1901, after Hitchin’s first town hall was deemed too small for the growing community.
Over the years our hall has housed many different functions, and notable figures that have performed and spoken here include Emmeline Pankhurst and Bob Marley.
